Hello, I Am A 28 Year Old Male, Non Drinker

I am a 28 year old male, non drinker non smoker. I am athletic and fit. Recently i have experienced a pinched nerve issue. I am hence consuming Lyrica on doctors prescription. However, i feel that i am having erectile dysfunction issues. I am not able to perform what i used to be before. I did a Testosterone level check. It was normal. However, this has been causing some friction in my relationship. Can you suggest or recommend consuming Viagra in time being. Also in XXXXXXX is Viagra a OTC drug. What is the dosage?
Viagra is strictly prescription only medication

Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
First of all I like to inform you that no doctor can advice you online about any medication in XXXXXXX as it is largely grey area and court have issued orders against it. In fact Medical council of XXXXXXX recommends no use of technology (surprisingly) in patient care specially when there are remotely placed (read it online).
In my opinion proper assessment is necessary before making any prescription. Viagra being a prescription only medications, should not be consumed before formal recommendation of doctor which requires through assessment (physical examination and laboratory investigations).
Viagra can be prescribed by neurologist, dermatologist, psychiatrist and urologist and no other specialist is permitted to prescribe it.
Regarding the dosage I can inform you that it ranges between 25 to 100 mg per day.
I hope this helps you.
feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.

Lyrica could be a likely cause
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
Lyrica although can cause the erectile dysfunction but the chances are very low. For example I have used pregabalin in around 2000-3000 persons till date and around 100-120 persons reported some form of sexual dysfunctions including erectile dysfunction. However almost all returned to normal level of sexual functioning within two to three weeks after discontinuation.
I hope this helps you further.
Thanks and regards.

Thanks for sharing this. So Any medicine/drug(other than Viagra) that can potentially counter this affect of Lyrica?
Thanks and Regards,
Soham
Lowering dose of Lyrica can be helpful
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
The first option for you is to use lower dose of Lyrica provided your doctor agrees with due care. This is only possible if the condition is under control and there is no more/limited nerve pain.
The second alternative is to use alternative of pregabalin. This can be low dose of TCA or gabapentin. Although they have the chance of causing ED but it is never necessary.
The third option is to use low dose Tadalafil with due prescription.
I hope this helps you further.
Thanks again.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for asking.
I am sorry to inform you that no prescription is possible without physical examination of patient. Please refer the first para of first answer.
As stated above for any formal recommendation of prescription only medication you need to have a physical prescription from local doctor.
I hope this clarifies.
Thanks again.
