Question: Hello I am a 33 year old Male with HPV, genital warts. I have been told by a doctor that once the warts are gone the virus can not be transmitted. I have used a prescribed and also over the counter wart remover, the warts are gone but where 2 of them where there are flat, fleshy colored spots, the. Same color as the warts, I am wondering if this means the warts are gone, or is it possible to transmit them from the spots. I had one on my shaft and it just looks like scar tissue in that spot from the wart remover, is that normal? I have attached close up pics of the spots only. Thank you very much for your help with this embarrassing issue.

Brief Answer:
Can’t see any pictures, upload them again

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your complaints.
I can’t see any pictures.
It’s not possible to transmit the warts from scar tissue but they can be transmitted from fleshy spots.
I would recommend you to again upload the pictures of the affected areas under the report section of the site so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
You can also mail me the pictures to YYYY@YYYY as “ Attention: Dr Asmeet”.

Brief Answer:
Continue with wart removal cream on the penile shaft lesions

Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the attached pictures.
The spots on the shaft of the penis are still looking like warts.
I would recommend you to continue applying wart removal cream on them for some more time.
I can also appreciate a scar at the root of the penis.
It seems to be inactive and requires no further treatment.
