Hello, I Am A 38 Yr Old Female. I Just

Question: Hello, I am a 38 yr old female. I just got my labs back from my doctor's office and my platelet count is above 400thous/mcL. It is 439. I am concerned about my platelet count being high and don't know why??? It is isolated being the only one that is high. My WBC, rbc, hemoglobin, ...etc is within normal range. My Eosinophils were also high but the doctor asked me if I had allergies or a cold during the test. I said yes. My cholesterol is high, which is genetic and I have been doing my best to work on it to lower it. Please provide some clarity. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
The usual upper limit of platelets is 450 so 439 is supposed to be normal. We need to look at the upper limit provided by your lab though.
But even if the upper limit is 400 and yours is 439, with all other parameters normal, I would not worry at all. This level of platelets is of no clinical significance.
Eosinophils may be high in case of allergies.
Hope this helps.
Regards

Thank you for responding to my question.
The limit for the lab is 400. This is the highest it has been, but the number from my past labs to present just have been increasing. 439, being the highest. Is this still ok, and nothing to worry about? Also is there anything I can do on my own to bring it down?
Thank you.
