Question: Hello, I am a 39 year old female with pain and cramping in lower abdominal area into groinned also with cramping too. plus my lower back and possibly kidney area have been in bouts of extreme pain and random cramping upon me going from standing to sitting to laying down any type of readjustment and back up into standing is the same the pain was really excruciating about a week ago and felt like there like tubes connecting from my back into my lower abdomen and groin and my mom said i could have passed some kidney stones. also as long as im drinking like a ton of constant water it remains somewhat bareable, but i drank a cocacola today and it made it hurt really bad in my lower back kidney area i have no children but ive been pregant three times one miscarriage and tow abortions. I havent had sex in a year and i havent had a period or actual cycle in more than five years, i started taking the deporpravera shot for a couple years and i was on opiods prescribed during this time as well i have been reading some medications ive been on in the past ten years can cause no menstral cycle but sex has always been uncomfortable and painful for the most part i could overcome with the couple of partners ive had but it was still there i know its a lot but id thought id give you a tiny glimpse into this crucial problem, are my kidneys shutting down, i an also on amoxicyline 875 mg twice daily for 14 days but i cant really tell if it is helping. i am in extreme pain with this and havent even been able to sleep for long periods of time before the pain abrubptely wakes me up every hour or less.

Brief Answer:
Detailed evaluation is required

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Most probably the pain might be due to renal stones that have passed to your ureter.
As a first line management you can take drugs like cyclopam( which is an antispasmodic) and provide symptomatic relief.
However we have to rule out other causes like prolapsed disc and gynaecological problems like fibroid uterus also.
Consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound abdomen and pelvis for further assessment. You have to check your thyroid function also as hypothyroidism can also cause similar symptoms like amenorrhea ( absent periods)
Fibromyalgia can also be a differential in your case.
Wishing all the best
