Brief Answer:
It can be due to TMJ, Follow these measures.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for consulting 'Ask A Doctor' service.
This is Dr. Priyanka Tiwari answering your query.

I have read your query and understand your concern. As far as pain in the upper jaw region is concerned it can be due to Temporomandibular joint disorder (irritated joint). This TMD can be due to muscular disorder or occlusal discrepancies like Attrition or bruxism (parafunctional habit).

For this, I will suggest a few measures like:
- Take a soft diet.
- Avoid excessive mouth opening.
- Do hot fomentation.
- Local application of an ointment containing Diclofenac sodium twice daily.
- You can take medication like Muscles relaxant by consulting with a local doctor.

If pain persists then it'd be better to consult an oral surgeon for clinical examination and management accordingly.

Hope this will help you.
If you have any further query I will be happy to help.
