Brief Answer:
Does not sound serious
Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using Ask a Doctor. The pain you describe does not sound like anything serious to me, most likely a muscle strain or cramp. The only concern with pain in the leg would be a blood clot, but this will usually have pain in the back of the calf area, along with swelling in the leg, and especially with your activity level, this would be unusual and does not sound like what is going on.
So I would suggest just trying to stretch the muscles there a couple of times a day, use Tylenol or Ibuprofen if needed, and perhaps limit your activity and rest more, and I would expect it to improve and resolve over a week or so.
I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any questions about any of that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.

Brief Answer:
Does not sound like a blood clot
Detailed Answer:
Yes, that's right, it does not sound like a blood clot at all, so I do not think any further testing would be necessary. If it sounded like a blood clot even a little bit, I would probably recommend testing, just because it is so important to make sure if you have a blood clot, but in your case I am not concerned. Hopefully you will see some improvement over the next couple of days, please let me know if any other questions come up.
