Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are not related to the heart.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome back to Ask a Doctor service!

I understand your concern and and would explain that your symptoms are really atypical of any cardiac disorders.

The yawning is not related to the heart. Regarding the inner right side sternum pain that comes and goes, you should know that it is typical of chostochondritis.

For this reason, there is no reason to panic about it!

I would just recommend trying acetaminophen or ibuprofen, coupled with an antiacid or PPI for acid reflux.

I am sure that nothing serious is going on!

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!

Wishing all the best,

My opinion as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

As a cardiologist I would exclude any possible cardiac disorders related to the pain that you are experiencing.

So try to relax and don't worry about it!

In my opinion painkillers and warm packs would help improve your situation.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Let me know about everything!

My opinion as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Yes, I think that costochondritis could be the cause of all this clinical situation.

I don't think it is cardiac related.

Anyway, besides ibuprofen and warm packs, I would recommend taking also omeprazole because ibuprofen may exacerbate acid reflux, which could be implicated in your situation too.

Hope to have clarified some of your uncertainties !

Let me know about everything!

Brief Answer:
I would exclude any possible cardiac causes.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

I don't think that your symptoms are related to the heart, as they are very atypical for any cardiac disorders.

As we have already discussed before, tenderness when touching is not a cardiac symptom, as we can not touch the heart.

Fibromyalgia or costochondritis could mimic all this clinical situation.

It is OK performing inflammation tests, but I don't think that there is any need for any further cardiac tests.

If inflammation tests result normal, fibromyalgia would be the most probable cause underlying your complaints.

Anyway, you should know that both these disorders are treated with painkillers/anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, naproxene, etc.) and warm local packs.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask me again!

Brief Answer:
I would recommend as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

You should know that Advil can trigger acid reflux and your symptoms seem to be related to acid reflux now.

Coming to this point, I would recommend taking an anti-acid or PPI (Omeprazole, pantoprazole, etc.).

It will help against nausea.

In case the nausea persists despite taking the above drugs, I would recommend taking Metochlopramide 1 tablet.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
