Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
I have seen the attached report. At 7 weeks the heat beat can be visualised and the baby appears normal in this image. Please provide the detailed printed report of ultrasound scan for further discussion. Your question also seems incomplete. You can write about your query in detail. I will try my best to clear your doubts.
Wishing you good health.

Hello, I will try to get the report tomorrow. And i think my question cut off. You’ll see in the image, the gestational sac was “tear dropped shaped” I asked the tech about it she said “could be a uterine contraction, not that kind of contraction though” and did not seem concerned. My OBGYN said that was not written in the report. Everything else appeared normal but I have had abdominal cramping since the moment I got pregnant so I am on high alert. My question is what do you think the tech meant by that because any sort of uterine contraction at 7 weeks would be concerning wouldn’t it? And also does the shape of the gestational sac suggest a potential problem (google says yes).
Brief Answer:
The sac shape appears normal.

Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The shape of gestational sac in this scan is normal. This is longitudinal section of the sac. The direction of probe also causes the shape to appear oblong. This is not suggestive of a uterine contraction.
The tear drop shape of sac in early pregnancy is normal.
Mild contractions of uterus during pregnancy are normal and are XXXXXXX XXXXXXX contractions.
Follow up scans after 2-4 weeks will further make it clear.
Regards.
