Hello, I Am Taking 1.5 Mg Vraylar In The Morning

Question: Hello, I am taking 1.5 mg vraylar in the morning for schizoaffective disorder, 100 mg luvox in the morning for OCD, 150 mg wellbutrin XL in the morning for depression, 0.5 mg klonopin in the morning and 1 mg at night for anxiety, 150 mg trileptal in the morning and 300 mg at night for mood stabilization, and 5 mg propranolol in the morning and 10 mg at night for tachycardia. I also take a gummy multivitamin, 200 % vitamin C, and 230 mg of magnesium glycinate in the afternoon. I wanted to know if it is okay to take a green tea supplement with these medications. Since magnesium and green tea both thin out the blood will the combination of these two increase my chances of internal bleeding. Please tell me if it's okay to add a green tea supplement to my medications.

Also, I've heard that large doses of green tea can cause liver damage. Is this true with small doses too? What dosage should I take?

What if I just take L-theanine. Is that safe to take with my medications and what dosage should I take?
Brief Answer:
Only theoretical risk of bleeding
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome here.
I understand your concerns.
In my opinion, there is only theoretical risk of increasing bleeding when magnesium is combined with green tea. I think you can take both together without any worries.
Up to 8 cups of green tea (3mg tea bag in 150ml water) per day are likely safe. There are negligible chances of liver damage with this amount.
Regarding L-theanine, there is no standard dosage recommendation. I usually give 200mg per day to my patients and seen a satisfactory response.
Please do keep your doctor informed about this.
Hope this answers your query.
Thanks.
