Question: Hello, I am taking 30 mg of Latuda twice a day for schizoaffective disorder, 100 mg of Luvox once a day for OCD and anxiety, 5 mg of propranolol twice a day for tachycardia, 150 mg of trileptal once a day for mood stabilization, 37.5 mg of wellbutrin once a day for depression, and today my doctor added 10 mg of doxepin once at night for depression and insomnia. Both luvox and doxepin can prolong the qt interval. Also, latuda and wellbutrin increase the levels of Luvox and doxepin. Luvox and doxepin increase the levels of each other. So do you think I will have qt prolongation because I am taking two medications that can prolong the qt interval and since the levels of these two medications are being increased, the risk of qt interval prolongation increases even more?

Brief Answer:
No need to get worried

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for using ask a doctor service

No I don’t think at this dose of these drugs you have risk of QT prolongation. No need to get worried. You have been advised to take 10 mg Doxepine and this is a low dose. At this dose the risk is very low. So no need to get worried.

Even pharmacological interactions are also not putting you at risk of QT prolongation. So stop worrying for this.

Thanks
