Question: Hello, I broke both of my legs in year 2007. My femurs were both broken in a car accident. It is now 2020 and I’m realizing the severity of the situation with my legs. As time went on, I failed to realize that my legs were getting worse. Today, I cannot even spread my legs 2 feet without major pain in my pelvic area as if I’m trying to do a split arises. I also cannot sit XXXXXXX style, my legs don’t allow it. I never attended physical therapy and my legs are very inflexible. I’m worried that I won’t be able to do anything with them soon! please help me with any information you can provide given this information.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

It's possible the trauma has caused stiffness or possible arthritis as well.

It would be best to get xrays of the pelvis and hips to better understand the cause of the pain.

Do upload any latest xrays if you have them.

Apply warm packs to the painful regions to help in reducing stiffness. Physiotherapy may be essential as well.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
