Hello, I Experienced Bleeding Beginning An Hour Or So After
Question: Hello, I experienced bleeding beginning an hour or so after sex on two different occasions. The bleeding was pink/light red and lasted about two days like a light period. I have an IUD and my period has been irregular and light since. Could both of these occurrences just been my period or should I be concerned?
Brief Answer:
A pap smear and an ultrasound is needed.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I didn't believe that these two occasions of light bleeding or spotting can be period.
I think you should get further examined by your gynaecologist doing a pap smear and an ultrasound .
The bleeding/spotting may be related to column uteri issues or thickening of endometrial lining or myomas so you should get evaluated about it.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
