Hello, I Had A Hookah All By Myself Last Night(no

Question: Hello, I had a hookah all by myself last night(no marijuana). I starting getting light headedness. But at 3am I woke up shaking, feeling cold but my body was boiling. I had a massive headache like never before, I thought I was going to die from it. Now it's the next day and I still have a headache, but not as strong as last night, but about 50% compared to last night. I also have pain at the back of my eyes which is constant and painfulish. I'm thinking I have high intracranial blood pressure, causing the headaches and also the high pressure in eyes (glaucoma). What should I do?
Brief Answer:
Hookah sickness to consider.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service.
I have read your query.
There are two possible explanations for your issues:
1- Smoking hookah may cause some degree of carbon monoxide poisoning.
2- Hookah sickness (caused by changes in heart function, rate, blood pressure, etc.)
Since you are about 50% better, I think you passed the emergency period.
So, rest, use plenty of fluids, simple painkillers (paracetamol for example), fresh air, are necessary right now for a couple of days.
If you don't improve in a couple of days, you should see your Doctor.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
