Brief Answer:
Do some diet and lifestyle changes first.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

You are having a good level of HDL, good level of triglycerides, good cholesterol ratio but increased LDL levels.
We usually start the statine treatment if LDL is over 190 mg/ dl.
You can firstly try lifestyle changes having a low fat diet , exercising and if you can't lower the ldl levels start statins.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Oh thank you! I only received a related message from my NP that I had to start statins with no explanation. What you are telling is (I know you can't believe it) SO helpful. I will make changes as suggested and hope this lowers the LDL.
I thank you so very much! XXXXXXX

Detailed Answer:
You are welcome.
I think you should try lifestyle changes first and check the lipids again after 2-3 months and if they are getting lower you may not need medications.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
