Hello I Had A Transvaginal Ultrasound Due To Strong Cramping

Question: Hello I had a transvaginal ultrasound due to strong cramping and sort of irregular periods. Results say antreverted uterus measures 10.6 X 6.0 X 7.5cm Endometrium measured 5mm. Mild inhomogeneity of myometriun. Cervix unremarkable. Both ovaries with normal color flow. One 3.6 X 1.4 X 1.4 and other 3.6 X 2.7 x 2.0 - is this all normal? I am 43 and had cysts about 2 years ago - now trying to conceive for 8 months but nothing yet.
Brief Answer:
Age is a concern
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns.
Following is my reply:
1) Ovarian cysts and other findings on ultrasound are not a matter of much concern.
2) Main factor not being able to conceive is probably your age. age after 40 years becomes difficult to conceive due to reduced quality and quantity of eggs.
3) Please get serum AMH level to assess ovarian reserve. This is more important.
Let me know if you need anymore help.

what does rhe mild inhomogenity of myomerrium mean?
Brief Answer:
A clear outline of the myometrium is not visible
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Sorry for the delay in my response,
Homogeneous myometrium is an image where you can see clearly marked differentiation of endometrium and myometrium and defined borders of the myometrium.
Inhomogeneous is one where these are not clear. This happens in previous uterine surgeries or adenomyosis.
