Hello! I Had Been Diagnosed With Costochondritis About 2-3 Weeks

Question: Hello! I had been diagnosed with Costochondritis about 2-3 weeks ago but I don’t completely think that’s the case. Every so often I get intense strong heart throbs that I’m able to feel through my chest and wrists And others are even able to feel it, today I spit up blood (not coughed but spit up) which has never happened before, also grist starting from my finger tips then to the middle of my hand went completely numb. I just wanted to know if there could be another reasoning because I can tell that it’s not inbetween my rib and my breasts. Thank you.

I read your query and here is my advice.

There are not any special tests for costochondritis but your doctor should have performed you ECG, or heart ultrasound, x-ray or MRI or CT scan to check for heart and lungs problems.
The pain of costochondritis can be similar to heart attack or lung problems or even stomach pain.
The spitting up blood is not related to costochondritis. It can be related to lung disease.
I can recommend you to do an MRI to check for lung issues.
