Question: Hello. I had triple negative breast cancer in 2013 (grade 3). Had at least four months of chemo and double mastectomy. For the past couple of years I have been nagged by upper right quadrant pain in my abdomen. CT of abdomen in 2017, blood work have been inconclusive. The pain is not necessarily post prandial. Sometimes it is severe enough that I have to lie down to relieve the pain. There is constant heaviness in that region, and sensitivity to touch around the right lower rib cage. Pain relievers do not relieve the pain. No pain below the sternum or the left quadrant. Almost equally constant pain in right shoulder. Most recent blood work in January - all normal. Chloride seems on the top end of range. Can you help?

Hi

Since you had been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer grade 3 and had chemotherapy and surgery but now is having upper right quadrant pain in abdomen and right shoulder would advise you to do a fresh CT scan of upper abdomen and and bone scan

Breast cancer has a tendency to spread to liver which is located in right side upper abdomen and bones

As you are having both abdomen and shoulder pain both are required

Also blood tumour market test for breast cancer such as CA 15.3 and CEA you need to do

Also take ibuprofen with proton pump inhibiter group of drugs with your doctors advise to relieve the pain
