Question: Hello, I have a quick question. :) So, recently I went to the doctor's for a check up and got a blood test. This blood test determined my thyroid levels where higher than normal and my cholestorol was a bit too high. Plus, I haven't had my period in over 4 months ( which has never happened before) and have dull middle back pain for the last few days. I'm wondering if this is just something caused by my higher than normal thyroid levels or something more serious, like cysts?

Brief Answer:
Needs evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

No, abnormal thyroid levels though can cause irregularities in periods but is not the commonest cause. Amenhorrea for 4 months must be evaluated for sure.

Yes, it can be cyst or even sex hormonal imbalance.

A detailed evaluation is necessary to identify the cause for missed periods.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.
