Hello, I Have Always Had Off And On Gas That
Question: Hello,
I have always had off and on gas that builds up in my system. Had a colonoscopy and was diagnosed with acid reflux. The medicine-coated my stomach but if missed made the symptoms worse. I quit the medicine and went to natural remedies and it seemed to cure me. I drink coffee and eat a lot of fruit. I have low energy otherwise because I am not a meat lover. I love raw dark green veggies, which I cannot seem to get enough of. However, other foods with wheat or sugar will send me into extreme flatulence. At times my stool turns pale, started happening since February. I noticed the change when I drank vinegar water and when I stop it return to normal. I try to drink a lot of water and stay away from nearly all bottled drinks except for those very few occasions. It seems that I become swollen and bloated when constipated which seems too much. What is likely the cause?

Brief Answer:
It may be IBS or SBO
Detailed Answer:
Hi Moorezaid,
First of all, I would simply recommend you stay away from all triggering food items. It seems completely benign, but it may be irritable bowel syndrome, which is a diagnosis of exclusion. Simethicone may be helpful. Small bowel bacterial overgrowth can be diagnosed from a breath test, and is usually treated with antibiotics.Contact you own doctor for such a test.
Hope this helps.
