I noticed 1 or 2 bumps about 6 months ago. I thought they were skin tags and bought a skin tag removal cream. The cream seemed to work but 1 or 2 would pop up again within a month. I shaved today and realized there was now a cluster of them. They have also been itchy for the past week or so and a rash has developed around them as a result.
Brief Answer:
As discussed
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
The appearance can be due to one of the following or a combination of a few conditions.
- Seborrhea causing dermatitis as seen by redness and symptoms of itching.
- Fordyce spots known to develop on scrotal skin as seen in one photo.
- Developing sebaceous cysts.
- Ingrown hair follicles as seen in one photo.
All are benign conditions hence nothing to worry about.
I would advise you the following in such a situation.
Cleaning of the scrotal skin at least twice daily with soap and lukewarm water to wash of the sweat and its contents, to reduce the itching. Remember to use plenty of water to wash of the soap completely.
Do not rub or itch over the skin.
Use loose underwear, preferably pure and absorbable cotton; the white absorbs the best..
Keep the area exposed to air whenever possible.
Avoid hot and humid air.
Please give feedback once you see your Doctor or a Dermatologist preferably.
