Question: Hello. I have had this swooshing (pulse) sensation in my left knee intermittently for the last few weeks. And now I think I sense a little tingle in my foot/leg area. I am on vacation for 1 more day, and my primary doctor is on vacation until next week... should I be concerned now, or wait to see my primary doctor when he return.

Brief Answer:
No need to be concerned

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using Ask a Doctor. There's nothing serious that I can think of that would start with the symptoms you described, so I believe it would be safe to wait to see your primary doctor when he returns.

I would only recommend that you look out for swelling in your leg, which could be a sign of a blood clot in the leg, or if you start to experience weakness in the leg, which could indicate a nerve problem in the leg. For either of these you should be seen sooner rather than later, but otherwise I don't see anything you would need to take care of right now and can wait until you can see your doctor.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any questions about any of that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
