Question: Hello, I'm on my earlier 50 and I have oily skin but now I'm getting whiteheads and some pimples and a lots of millia, how can I get rid of them and what kind a moisturizer should I use, i always wash my face at night and morning and exfoliating every 3 days, I'm using a high priced skin line but I noticed that is rich texture expecially the night cream, i think this line is causing the millia and whiteheads. I barely use now.. which kind of moisturizer do you recommend or any skin routine that improve my skin health.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
rearding acne, milia and oily skin
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
You may use Adapalene 0.1% gel or Tretinoin 0.025% cream at night. It is comedolytic and would also help exfoliate milia. Not only that tretinoin and adapalene has anti-ageing benefits too as they help delay fine lines and wrinkles and help build collagen. I won't advice you to exfoliate while using this cream as it may cause irritation. Use a gentle cleanser for your face. You may use a light, non -comedogenic moisturizer like Cetaphil moisturizing cream.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
