Hello, I Sent A Question The Other Day But Accidentally
Question: Hello,
I sent a question the other day but accidentally had the lab values wrong. I was concerned about a change in the globulin result. I had the test a year prior - non fasting - and the labs ref range was 2.2 as a starting norm My globulin was 2.8. This year, recently, my globulin was listed at 2.0 with a lab reference range starting at 2.0 as the starting norm. My PCPs office didn’t flag this and my ALT and AST, bilirubin etc were all good. Alk Pho’s was around 93 I believe. AG ration was 2.1. My concern is this, I do have a history of Non Alcoholic fatty liver stage 0-1. I am working on losing weight and also doing considerable exercise. My blood sugar was fine and kidney function was fine. My cholesterol is in the borderline high range although the good cholesterol is listed as good. I have recently made major dietary changes - after getting these labs in hopes of reducing fat in my liver. I hope it’s not too late. Is this globulin level concerning? They were done at two separate labs a year apart and one was fasting vs non fasting.

I know I asked this the other day and got an answer but I wanted to ask again with the corrected lab value since I made a mistake on the lab value on my previous question.

Everything is fine
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome To Ask A Doctor Service,
I have gone through your question, I understand your concern.
Nothing to worry about globulin value, as long as the AG ratio is 2.1.
