Hello. I Shaved My Scrotum On Tuesday. On Wednesday Night
Question: Hello. I shaved my scrotum on Tuesday. On Wednesday night I noticed a small bump. I popped the bump Thursday morning. I believe it is just a infected hair follicle, since I had many on my upper area, but never on my scrotum. I do suffer from cold sores, so I jusy want to make sure it doesn't look like herepes, since I have never had one on my genitals. It is just one single bump. Thank you. I have been putting azelaic acid on it too.

Brief Answer:
It is an inflamed hair follicle.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have done through the the photos.
It looks like an inflamed hair follicle which is quite common after shaving.
It doesn’t looks like an STD(sexually transmitted disease) like herpes.
Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself.
You can apply over the counter available topical antibiotics like mupirocin for faster recovery.
Thanks
