Hi,
Welcome to ask a doctor service,
I have gone through your query in detail and can certainly understand your concern towards your medicine.
There is a possibility that this combination may cause QT prolongation, but that is infact occurs at high doses prescribed for longer duration.
Anyway, can you let me know how long you have been on these drugs??
Looking back for your reply.

i have only been on them together for 1 month. I have been on sertraline by itself over 10 years. but my doctor said this combination is pretty common for those with anxiety and depression?
Brief Answer:
Yes, it could be common combination
Detailed Answer:
Hi mam,
Welcome back,
I have gone through your follow up query and can certainly understand that it could be pretty common combination but while prescribing, age of the patient and BMI needs to be considered.
Inspite of common , we need to consider effectiveness in terms of sertraline.
As other antidepressants are much safer and effective with least side effects.
Looking forward for your reply.
