Question: Hello I was injured at work and the mri shows a full thickness tear of the sun scapular is and a suspected full thickness tear of the supraspinatus tendon. Is this a torn rotator cuff

Yes. The Rotator cuff is a group of tendons of 4 muscles called Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus, Teres minor and Subscapularis.

Since you have torn 2 of these tendons it would require surgical procedure usually key hole surgery.

What does the radiologist mean when he says moderate muscle atrophy evident concerning my supraspunatus tendon. Also he says teres minor and infraspinatus tendinosis without macrotear
