Hello, I Was Just Wanting A Second Opinion . To

Doctor treat symptoms and not numbers dear body as a unit has millions of parameters. Every parameter could not fall with in normal range. As utrasound is normal nothing to worry about.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for choosing "Ask a Doctor" service for your query,
Have seen your details and i appreciate your concerns,
Liver enzyme level is significant only when minimum of two enzymes are elevated to three times the maximum possible range.
Secondly deranged liver enzymes are common in patients with history of long alcohol intake. Give your body few months the enzymes level would return back to normal.
Your ultrasound is normal,I don't feel any further test is required unless there are any symptoms.
Take milk of thistle a liver rejenuvator for few months along with a good diet 50% complex carbohydrates 30% protein and 20% fats and very likely the enzymes would return back to normal in few months.
Eat clean
Avoid alcohol,
Do exercise regularly.
Hope i was helpful,
Follow ups are welcome,
Thanks

Thank you for your advice.
Do you think a Fibroscan is justified here? My Doctor thinks no because my Fib 4 score is only 0.37 when I last had my liver tests/platelets completed. My most recent tests appear normal (below)
34 GGT
23 AST
41 ALT (slightly over)
Platelets 361
INR 1
Do you think the above is anything to be concerned about and do you think there is a chance there may be scarring on my liver? I am not sure how reliable the Fib 4 score/APRI/Forns is but all are considered very low risk.

Cholesterol - 6.4
Triglycerides 0.9
Cholesterol (HDL) - 2.07
Cholesterol (total/HDL) - 3.1
Cholesterol (LDL(Calc)) - 3.9
Any concerns about ammonia being a little high at 37 and urea being a little low at 2.4.
I am in New Zealand.

Just following up on the above, particularly the ammonia/urea part and high cholesterol.
Thank you!
Natasha
