Question: Hello I was prescribed a 10 day 3x's a day Clindamycin 300mgs. I have taken half of the bottle(16 out of 30 pills). I missed a whole day yesterday, should I continue taking or stop? I was prescribed by the ENT because I thought I may have a sinus issue or infection but not sure. I woke up today and last night with pain in cervix and heartburn! Thanks!

Detailed Answer:
Hii Welcome to the healthcare services. You continue clindamycin tablet for 10 days and then stop. Missing one tablet won't decrease the efficacy of the drug. It will be better for me to understand the sinus problem if you explain in detail. You can take solspre nasal spray and levocetrizine tablet for sinus problem. Continue clindamycin for 10 days and then stop. Please review if you have any queries.

Hi Dr. BASAK, thank you for the reply.

I missed 2 days as I left the clindamycin when I left town. I continued yesterday and my neck is very sore now and tender, far the last almost 2 days now.

I was prescribed clindamycin for what may have been an infection or sinus issue. I have had horrible breath and smell and have been spitting up greenish white mucus and smells horrible. Also dizzyness occasionally. I have an MRI scheduled.

I guess I should continue taking the clindamycin? I do not want my neck problem to get worse now or the heartburn/stomach pain to return like it was on day 5 of the antibiotics. Thanks
