Hello. I Went To My Doctor Monday With UTI Symptoms.

Question: Hello. I went to my doctor Monday with UTI symptoms. She put me on ciprofloxacin. The pressure pain was relieved. The test results came back Negative for a Uti Thursday afternoon. My urine had white blood cells, blood, and 2+ protein. I felt ok most of the day but now my lower back/flanks have dull pain on and off. It’s not too painful just noticeably annoying. It gets worse when I eat. I’ve been pushing water and cranberry juice all day. I’m concerned that the pain will grow worse.

I saw the Report.
Apart from Protein, Leucocyte esterase is 2+ which is suggestive of UTI.
I prescribe Nitrofurantoin tablet 100mg twice daily to my parents with UTI if Ciprofloxacin doesn't work.
As you are having flank pain,I prefer an Ultrasound abdomen to know about Kidneys, Ureters, Urinary bladder.
If Ultrasound abdomen is normal,then it could be due to Musculoskeletal cause.Skeletal muscle relaxant tablet containing Thiocolchicoside will help.
