3-Do people with hearing loss need special treatment or they find it neutral to cooperate and engage with everyone?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. The biggest impact of hearing loss is on effective communication. This will vary in domestic, social, education, business and community settings. For example in education, many primary education facilities exist, however higher education institutions are very few. Profound hearing loss also leads to inability to develop speech. The brain also allocates more processing power to the remaining senses, which become better in time.
2. Hearing assistance devices depend upon the degree of hearing loss. Mild hearing loss does not need much amplification. In moderate hearing loss, amplification devices based on iPods and smartphones are available. Hearing Aids, Bone anchored hearing aids, cochlear implants, brainstem implants, various accessories and so on are available for moderate, severe hearing and profound hearing loss.
3. Usually corrected hearing loss is like using spectacles for correcting eyesight. Slightly more care in interaction is required as hearing aids work on different technology as compared to the natural hearing process. Visibility of hearing devices helps pay more attention to communication.
4. There is usually no problem with routine exercises and sports. More care is required in contact sports. Safety in adventure sports is a concern. Many hearing aids are now water resitant, water proof and impact resistant.
5. Universal neonatal screening for hearing loss, spreading awareness about treatment options, learning sign language and reducing noise pollution are some of the ways to help.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
