Question: Hello, I would like to get an opinion from 3 separate doctors from your web page. On April 17 I had injured my shoulder playing hockey (I had been tripped, and as I fell, I was spinning simultaneously, I unpacked the boards on my shoulder blade's upper portion first, then hit my head against the boards, and preceded the fall the rest of the way to the ice.), After unpleasing results from physical therapy, and a contradicting medical opinion, I was finally referred to get an MRI on 31 July. Following are the overall findings:

"IMPRESSION:
1. Mild supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendinopathy without significant tearing.
2. heterogeneity of the posterosuperior labrum is present without a discrete labral tear evident. if there is clinical concern for a subtle labral tear, please consider Mr arthrography for further.
3. Mild degenerative changes of the acromioclavicular joint with an associated small joint infusion. Please correlate clinically to exclude and acute acromioclavicular joint ligamentous injury."

I can give further information, if wanted, as well as symptoms. I will pay the cost for three separate evaluations, thank you for all the help and assistance!

God willing and with His blessing,
-joe

Brief Answer:
Conservative treatment can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
As per the MRI scan report, there is no tear of the capsule or ligaments or tendons of the shoulder joint. There are only inflammatory changes present in the tendons and acromioclavicular joint. These inflammatory changes can cause a persistent pain on some movements and a restriction of movement of the shoulder joint.
The main treatment of such a problem is proper oral anti inflammatory agents, oral muscle relaxants and hot compress along with rest to let the area heal. After the pain subsides, physical therapy can help in regaining the full range of movement.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.

Could you further explain "Conservative treatment" please?

I am continuing with physical therapy, however my job requires me to pass a physical fitness test. And the paln is to take it Tuesday, the requirements are as follows:
39 push ups in under 2 min;
45 set ups in under 2 min;
And running 2 mi in under 17 min.

I also have a backpacking event next on Thursday, my pack weighs in at approximately 40 lb, the plan is to make it 12 mi in about 3 hours.

Is this a too liberal with the working out?

Brief Answer:
Avoid any heavy exercise and painful movements.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Conservative treatment means no surgery and rest and medicines with physical therapy will help in healing. Doing push ups can increase the pain and inflammation. It is best if you can postpone the test for at least 6-8 weeks so that the inflammation subsides. Your shoulder needs a rest to heal properly.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Thank you very much for your answer. I fully accept your answer, but I am getting three opinions in order to get a solid argument.

The situation: I am in an organization that tends to push it's guys too hard. Everything we have talked about up to this point has been accurate and true. However they have basically stated that I am making it a bigger deal that what it really is. This has caused me to wonder if I am just being a wimp about it, or if I am being a little hypochondriatic concerning my limits, the medical persons I am seeing are using the term "medical misconduct" to restrict me more than I actually need to be restricted. As well as the statement that when I leave for work, if when I am out my "shoulder slips in and out of sockets, we can just send you back here and find out what's wrong."

At this point I would rather not risk my health over work. But three of you giving me an honest opinion should be enough to open an investigation on this matter.

Brief Answer:
You can wait for the opinions.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Pushing yourself to too much of hard work can cause a further injury or a persistent pain and inflammation. It is better not to risk your health.
