Brief Answer:
Kindly asked for a picture or two and some more information
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask a Doctor service,
Most of tongue's lesions are self limiting and there is nothing to worry about. It would be helpful if you upload a picture or two so I can evaluate them to better determine if you need to see your doctor or they are expected to go away on their own.
Furthermore, for how long have you had these bumps on your tongue?
Do they cause any pain or discomfort?
Do you have any other symptoms such as skin rash, fever, fatigue, etc?
I hope to hear back from you soon with the above information and if possible, a coupleof images.

My apologise. I initially uploaded a photo but it must not have worked.
Ive had the bumps for approzimately 2 years now. I dont believe theyve been accompanied by any other symptoms but given the length of time theyve been present its hard to be completely sure and im starting to develop some concerns.

also, they do not cause me any pain. If i hadnt been doing a self evaluation i wouldnt have even noticed them. which im hoping is a positive sign?
Brief Answer:
They do not seem worrisome
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome back,
Thank you for the reply and the uploaded image.
I carefully examined the lumps under your tongue. Considering as well that they have been there for around 2 years and are not changing much, these seem benign normal masses and are not worrisome. They are small, smooth and stable for a long time- these are all characteristics of benign lumps (not dangerous).
If you notice new ones are coming out or they are growing, you will have to have a check with your doctor. In this case, they may still be benign but to have your doctor feel them and check your neck and other areas in the mouth and do a thorough examination will be even more reassuring.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
