Brief Answer:
Normal protein electrophoresis rules out multiple myeloma
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on Ask A Doctor forum.
Serum protein electrophoresis is one of the most important and diagnostic investigation for multiple myeloma.
A normal serum electrophoresis rules out multiple myeloma.
However, clinical features, albumin: globulin ratio, haemoglobin levels, ESR are some of the investigations which will help in the diagnosis.
There are other plasma cell dyscrasias also besides multiple myeloma which are milder than multiple myeloma.
I suggest you to upload the laboratory reports which have been done for interpretation.
Thanks and take care

Brief Answer:
Investigations rule out possibility of plasma cell dyscrasia
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
The investigations - serum electrophoresis, urine electrophoresis and kappa/ lambda chain within normal rage rule out possibility of plasma cell dyscrasia.
Referral to hematologist is probably due to low hemoglobin as mentioned by you in your post.

Brief Answer:
Cause of low hemoglobin needs to be found out
Detailed Answer:
hello and welcome again,
Low hemoglobin at your age can occur due to various causes.
Firstly, iron deficiency has to be ruled out by getting a peripheral blood smear examination, serum iron levels and ferritin levels done.
In case iron deficiency is detected, iron supplements have to be taken to correct the deficiency and the cause of iron deficiency has also to be found out.
Thanks and take care
