Hello! I’m 21 Years Old And In The Past Two

Question: Hello! I’m 21 years old and in the past two months I’ve had some bowel problems. I had diarrhea and then was constipated, and in the past month my stools have ranged from being less solid, being a dark green color, to being solid and brown, to being greenish again with brown in them, i also usually have mucus too. I also continue to have undigested food it seems like when I have looser stools. Two days ago, I wiped and there was a very small amount of fresh blood, and when I pooped last night, there was some fresh blood on my stool but not a lot, and none when I wiped. This morning my poop was loose, but a dark green/orange color. I’ve had bloodwork done 4 times in the past two months, everything is perfect, I have a brain MRI, which was perfect, and then a chest/abdomen/pelvic CT with contrast, and it showed no significant lymphadenopathy, a 7mm hypodense lesion on my spine, and heterotrophic ossification in my left hip, but my bowels were perfect. I’ve had a lot of gas lately, and with the blood, I’m convinced I have colorectal cancer. My parents are doctors and say I have IBS and potentially hemorrhoids or an anal fissure but I’m very worried about cancer. What do you think? I have had bad healthy anxiety too though.

Brief Answer:
hello

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor.
Thank you for the query.
I understand your concern.
Your history looks predominantly like IBS however bleeding per rectum seems to be bit unusual.
Could be possibly due to straining to evacuate stools may lead to a small cut (fissure) or bleeding from a small pile there, so first thing is you need to stop straining for stools.
Also worthwhile getting a stool routine and occult blood tested on 3 different occasions if not done earlier.
Also if not done then getting a colonoscopy once will clear out things.
Very very unlikely you have a cancer.
Also try following things which will help you in long run,

try following things and see how you feel
1. eat on time
2 exercise regularly
3 develop some hobbies
4 go for regular walk
5 sleep adequately for 8 hrs
6 avoid stress
7 avoid coffee, aerated drinks, tobacco, smoking, alcohol if any.
8 avoid sleeping or lying down 2 hours after meals
9 take small frequent meals
10 do some yoga and mind relaxation techniques

revert me with reports.
all this will help you in long run.
hope this answers your query.
happy to help
