Brief Answer:
Just normal perimenopauseal event

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

This situation of brown blood discharge after 3 and half months without a period is quite normal during perimenopause.
The brown colour shows that it is a small quantity of blood and remaining longer in vagina it turns brown. During perimenopause a hormone imbalance is caused making this absence of periods for 3 and 1/2 months.
You are in menopause only when you have a full year without a period and a bloody discharge after a year should be a concern.

Hope I have answered the question.
