Hello. I'm A 48 Year Old Man With A Case

Question: Hello.
I'm a 48 year old man with a case of what i was told by two dermatologists is Balanitis. I have used a cortisone cream treatment that i was prescribed back in november when i first noticed the issue. I used it for 2 tubes which didn't eradicate the symptoms. I went to a second dermatologist who gave me the same Balanitis diagnosis. He prescribed Nystatin cream which I used for 3 months and still has yet to beat it.

I noticed the issue after having gone through a VERY stressful time of my life from a breakup. I actually had hives over most of my body a few times leading up to this chronic issue. The hives haven't come back, but the Balanitis hasn't left.

I have been tested for every STD that can be tested for.
I'm circumcised.
I'm at my wit's end dealing with this and am hoping to find a better way to treat things. Maybe a biopsy?

I am without health insurance so I have to be careful where to spend my $ and resources. I'm doing everything in my power to clear this up. Help!!

Brief Answer:
Kindly provide a few more details

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.

Based on the facts and photographs that you have uploaded the redness of the glans penis seems to be due to infection of Glans Penis (Balanitis) as correctly diagnosed by your Dermatologist.

Ideally, steroid creams are being prescribed if there is a fungal infection associated with lesions and patches of redness over the glans penis.

I shall be happy if you can post me more details to help me in making precise comments
1) Are you Diabetic?
2) Is there itching of the glans penis?
3) Does your female partner has/had any vaginal infection?

Taking antibiotics like Bactrim DS along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin will help to eradicate the infection.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water thrice daily to keep it moist and may use moisturizing cream This prevents it from drying up which leads to getting infected.

Hope I have answered your query, please feel free to ask if you have more questions, I shall be happy to help you.

Thanks and Regards.

1) Are you Diabetic? No

2) Is there itching of the glans penis? Not really itching, no pain. It just looks horrible.

3) Does your female partner has/had any vaginal infection?
I had a sexual encounter with my ex wife in October, symptoms showed up a few days later. She cannot be contacted so I cannot ask about an infection and she would probably lie if I did. I went and got a comprehensive STD test in January. All came back negative with the exception of HSV1. I'll include a copy of the report in my photos. I noticed it from the beginning. Looked like droplets of water on the head of my penis. Fungus? More photos included in hopes you may see something.

One more thing. 5 months before this occurred I changed my diet due to what I believed was a candida overgrowth in my gut flora. I cut out all sugar and flour. My physical health and mental health greatly improved from this. Seeing that candida is responsible for what im dealing with now could this diet change along with a high anxiety stretch of my life have helped cause this?
