Hello! I’m Attaching Two Images Of The Rim Of My
Question: Hello! I’m attaching two images of the rim of my lower eyelid, where I noticed a small whitish bump about four days ago (unfortunately I have a lighted magnifying mirror and I notice all of these tiny bumps and spots!). Can you please take a look and let me know what it may be and if Iran anything to be concerned with? There is no pain associated with it, no discharge, etc.
Also attached is one picture of my other eye, with a small red spot on the lower rim circled, which I just noticed two days ago....can you please take a look at that as well?
I do have bad seasonal allergies, so I’m not sure whether that could have anything to do with the spots.
Thank you so very much!!

Brief Answer:
Common complaint but nothing serious a disease to worry aboiut
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am an practising ophthalmologist for 8 yrs.
Thank for the query. Thank you for attaching pictures and encircling the spots clearly.
I could notice that you have an enlarged punctum of the meibomian gland opening into. This is not serious and not worrisome at all. This is not noticeable usually with naked eye unless the person closely watches it for over few days or with a magnifying glass.
Similarly the other eye has a spot which is again just cosmetic and is not related to disease.
My opinion makes sense because you do not complain of pain or discharge from the bump.
Hope this is clear.
