Hello, I'm Overseas And Concerned I Might Be Pregnant. I
Question: Hello, I'm overseas and concerned I might be pregnant. I usually have fairly consistent 28 day cycles. Last cycle started April 7th (day I started period), I was with my husband April 13/14, expected my next period approx May 5. Since not getting my period and feeling a little off, I've since done three at home tests on the 10th/14th and 15th May which have all come back negative. I was pregnant two years ago which only lasted for 6 weeks but the at home test showed positive right away. Anyway, I can't get into see a doctor for another week and I'd like to know if you feel there is a chance I could be pregnant or if it's likely just a late period based on all these facts. I realize a definitive answer can only be given through tests but would like to know in your experience the likelihood of me being pregnant.
Brief Answer:
Most probably not pregnant....
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You got it right; a definitive answer is not possible. However based on the given details I would say your chance of being is unlikely. The reasons being:
1. Home pregnancy test being negative at this time has high accurate result. A negative result means negative pregnancy.
2. The intercourse on 13/14th was in the fairly safe period.
You can wait until the next week and if period doesn't resume by then visit your gynecologist who will start medications to start period.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards
