Hello, I’m Worried About Food Allergies . Multiple Foods I

Question: Hello, I’m worried about food allergies. Multiple foods I am eating are causing itchy burning cheeks, itchy burning tongue, and itchy burning back of throat. It makes no sense and I’m starting to lose weight. The majority of the food I eat does not have the big 8 allegerns. Foods I’m talking about are like sweet potato, bagels made from tapioca , rice, and potato starch. Beef hotdogs, brown rice, and most recently honey mustard. I can’t see my doctor because of this stupid virus. Does this sound possible to be allergic suddenly to everything? Any other conditions that could cause this? I suffer from health anxiety. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
No, I don't think it is a food allergy.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on the 'Ask A Doctor' forum.
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the detailed history you have given.

Frankly speaking, I don't think it is a food allergy.

Because you don't have diarrhea or vomiting or abdominal pain after eating suspected foods.
The possibility of either vitamin B12 deficiency or anxiety-related symptoms is more likely.

So please let me know:

1. Since how many days you have these symptoms?
2. Do you have any allergic history in the family?
3. Have you ever checked the vitamin B12 level?

Please let me know the answers to the above-asked questions so that I can guide you better.

I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks

I have had them for about a month now. Everyday I try something different and it causes it. I’m worried about anaphylaxis. No history of allergies in my family except my dad is allergic to cats. My doctor did just check my b12 through a urine test and she said it was very low.
