Brief Answer:
I will not recomemnd stopping!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

The question specifically about coffee suggests that he has been doing this for several years. Coffee is not the reason for frequent urination. I may recommend you cut down on other fluids instead of his coffee. It would appear this is something he loves and I will not recommend withholding from a 96years old for that reason only. However, I encourage you to make sure he drinks averagely 1.5L of fluid daily unless other conditions preclude such volumes. It is easily for them to get dehydrated because they are unable to look after themselves. I will not like to see this happen.

I hope this guides and helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me as appropriate.
