Question: Hello
I’ve had a swollen lymph node in my groin for around two weeks and recently two more have swollen nearby. I’m travelling for six weeks and just wondering if I should try to visit a dr overseas? I have no other symptoms

Brief Answer:
It could be due to Infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Infection from the legs, buttock,,flank, lower abdomen,Anal canal etc will spread to Groin Lymph nodes.
Please check for the Infection in these areas.
I prescribe Antibiotic like Cefuroxime 500mg twice daily and Anti inflammatory tablet for 1 week to my patients with similar complaints. If there is no response, I will remove one Lymph node and send it for Histopathological examination (Biopsy).Exact Diagnosis will be known.
As it is not an Emergency, there is no need to Consult a Doctor abroad.
Please consult your doctor after coming back and.proceed further.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health
Regards
