Hello, My Husband Was Diagnosed With Influenza B On Christmas

My husband was diagnosed with influenza B on Christmas day and the doctor in the ER prescribed him tamiflu. He's been taking it twice a day at 12.5ml since then. He has not gotten any better and I was wondering whether it would be ok for him to use theraflu or mucinex or nyquil or some other cold medication along with the tamiflu.
Follow up with a bit more information...

Hello,
I have gone through your query and here is my advice.
As per your history, though he is already diagnosed with influenza B infection, still kindly follow up with a bit more information.
At present, Does he have fever, cold/runny nose, sore throat, dry cough/phlegm?
In that case I would suggest you to take tablet acetaminophen for fever/body ache. You can also take tablet levocetrizine and cough suppressant SOS.
Along with that continue Saline or Betadine gargles twice a day. Take steam inhalation. Keep your self hydrated.
Influenza B infection is a viral infection as usually last for 5 to 7 days.
Kindly watch for symptoms high grade fever, breathing difficulty, severe headache, giddiness than he may require urgent medical care.
Hope I have answered your query....
Let me know if I can assist you further.
