Brief Answer:
You can take telmisartan.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and would try my best to help you.

I have noted your clinical details. Your BP is high. You should take telmisartan to lower your BP. In my patients, I usually advise them to take telmisartan 40 mg once daily at night. You can continue your usual ramipril 5 mg in mornings.

Keep a record of your BP, and the target BP should be 130/80 mmHg.

I sincerely hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,
