Hello, Since Two Days There Is Itching And Burning Sensation

default
Posted on Fri, 1 May 2020
Question: Hello,
Since two days there is itching and burning sensation in my vagina. I've also noticed that my left side labia minora has swollen and is asymmetrical (in size) when compared to right one. Whenever I wearing any bottoms, it is rubbing and creating itch, burning sensation and pain. Nights are extremely uncomfortable. Since there is lockdown, not able to visit a good doctor. Do I need to go for any surgery?

Brief Answer:
Sitz Bath

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

This seems to be fungal / yeast infection.

You might need antifungal ointment like candiderm with prescription for local application.

Mean while you can do sitz bath morning and night. Sitz bath is sitting in a small tub of warm water and anti septic lotion for 10 minutes. This might relieve swelling and reduce itching.

You will not need any surgery.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Regards
