Question: Hello Sir, I have hypothyroid problem and under medication for sometime now. My condition is much better from what it used to be. currently I sometimes feel that it is still not fixed and wanted to seek advise here. I am currently taking 175mg of medication and it is either T3 or T4 increases and dosage is changed. Please find the attached prescription for reference and please advise. Thanks in advance.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

While supplementing for thyroid, we need to keep the dose adequate so that there arent symptoms of hyperthyroid or hypothyroid. The thyroid profile is suggesting hyperthyroid. I will suggest that you repeat the thyroid profile from another laboratory. Also monitor if you are experiencing symptoms of hyperthyroid or hypothyroid. Both are needed to guide the medicine dose.
If TSH continues to be low, then a reduction of Thyronorm dose is needed.
