Question: Hello, Symtoms, runny nose, sneezing, stuffed up nose and can't hardly breathe at night. In order this is how it all begun. On Wed July 24th 2019 I begun to have a sore throat and sinus drainage so bad down my throat. I had the sore throat for about 4 days. I thought I was getting better but then on Monday July 29th I started sneezing and just so congested with runny nose (and stuffed up at the same time) I know that may sound absolutely crazy, but it's true. So today makes 7 days. My question is Does this sound like a cold or something worse? I have no insurance but I don't want it turning into pneumonia or something. I just don't know what to do. I am taking tynenol cold&flu severe. (today is my second day with that)

Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
You may be suffering from allergic rhinitis or sinusitis according to your symptoms.
I think you may need to use antihistamines such benadryl or citerizine for congestion once daily before bed.
Also you can use decongestants such pseudoephedrine or phenylephrine for 5 days.
Rinse nose often with saline water.
Your symptoms may get better in 5 days. If it still continues feel free to write me again.
Hope I have answered the question.
