Brief Answer:
Needs an x ray of the crowned tooth done..
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Can understand your concerns..
Well, it looks like there is pressure build up in the crowned tooth due to infection or inflammation..
Taking painkillers will have a little effect till the pressure is released..
You can consult an Emergency room and get a painkiller injection for a better pain relief..
Also can you please tell me that was the tooth root canal treated before the crown was placed??
Please write back..
Thanks..

Thank you for your reply. She finally was able to fall asleep shortly after I sent the question. She was able to speak with her doctor this morning and he said it might be infected since she is swollen now. He told her to go to and oral surgeon which he made an appointment for her at 11:30 today.
Thank you once again...
