Question: Hello. This is regarding my daughter who is of 6 years of age. She has got mouth ulcer, her gums have become fully red on the lower pet and small swellings too. I have applied Zytee gel. Will it be effective? She is complaining of pin as well. Can she swallow the gel because she can’t hold it in her mouth.

For a more clear picture, kindly give few more details:

1. When did this start?
2. Any associated fever?
3. Any fluid filled small blisters over lips or inside mouth?
4. Anyone else in the family having fever or such lesion now?
5. Kindly upload a good quality picture with mouth open.

Meanwhile, continue applying Zytee gel and give her 6ml of Paracetamol suspension(250mg/5ml) 3 times daily to relieve pain. Also, you can give a multivitamin- Syrup Becosules 5ml once daily. Swallowing minor amounts will not cause harm, but let her spit out as far as possible after few minutes of application.
