Hello. This Morning I Woke Up With A Sore Throat
Question: Hello. This morning I woke up with a sore throat. I looked inside my mouth and saw very small white and red dots along the top of my mouth. I am currently taking the antibiotic Cefalexin for a respiratory issue and am not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Hello and thank you for your question. Hope I can be of help for you today. Sore throat with white dot (exudate) and redness, fever, and lymphadenopathy can be caused from strep throat. In this case you can continue taking antibiotic Cephalexin together for lower respiratory infection. In the picture it is not clear it can be look like an allergy. You can also use antihistamine drugs such as cetirizine. f

Hello. Thank you for your reply. This morning I grabbed a cotton swab and removed the white spots. They easily came off. Does this indicate anything?
