Hello, When I’m Laying Down Or Standing Up And Flexing

Question: Hello,
When I’m laying down or standing up and flexing my abdominal muscles if I press firmly I can feel these small lumps all through out the left and right side of my abdomen and down into my groin. If I continue to press on them over time they Almost become inflamed and will hurt the next day. I’m also a little heavier and don’t know if that would have anything to do with it.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.
* As per my surgical experience, the lumps felt in the abdomen muscles most likely
reflect subcutaneous fat nodules in usual cases.
However, kindly provide further details so that I can answer your query completely.
1. Any obvious swelling seen over the surface of the skin of abdomen at any place ?
2. Can you feel the lumps by gentle palpation without deep pressure ?
3. Recent alteration in body weight ?
4. History of lumps any where else, diabetes or other problems ?
Awaiting for your response.
Regards.

No swelling or pain unless I continually press or palpate them hard.
And no not able to feel them by gentle palpation
Recent increase in weight
And no history of lumps any where or diabetes

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the details.
* As per the narration, it sounds more to be excess fat deposited under the abdomen
layers palpable through deep.
Need to focus more on weight control, regular exercises and diet control ; no active medical management required at present.
Wish you best health.
Regards.
